EGON Haugesund is looking for a motivated and ambitious chef who wants to grow into a future leader with us. In this role, you will join EGON's internal trainee programme, designed to prepare you for a Kitchen Manager / Head Chef position, or another leadership role within one of our restaurants.
The programme is tailored to your background, age, and experience, and typically lasts between 4 and 12 months. The goal is to give you a solid foundation in both daily operations and leadership within the restaurant industry, so that you can become kitchen manager at Egon one day.
Hands-on leadership in a busy kitchen and restaurant environment
People management and team development
Recruitment, coaching, and follow-up of employees
Core business understanding: budgeting, cost control, and food cost
Collaboration with front-of-house management and operations
Structured operations through EGON's established systems and routines
Your training will take place alongside experienced restaurant managers and kitchen managers, and in collaboration with finance/accounting, operations leadership, and EGON's administration. You will gain broad insight into how an EGON restaurant is run from A to Z, with a strong focus on kitchen leadership.
You have clear ambitions to become a kitchen or restaurant leader
Have experience as chef
You thrive in a fast-paced environment
You enjoy working with people and building strong teams
You are eager to learn, structured, and take responsibility
Even if you do not complete the programme in full, you will still be a strong candidate for roles such as Assistant Kitchen Manager or other middle-management positions within the EGON system.
